Two agricultural research projects involving the University of Galway have recieved almost 5.5 million euros in funding.
2.98 million euros will go towards a project focused on sustainable development for farm products such as meat and dairy.
Another project bids to identify emerging threats in relation to antimicrobial resistence, and will recieve 2.43 million.
The University is partnering with multiple other Irish Institutions for both projects.
This comes as part of a wider Nationwide funding package of 37.5 million euros announced by the department of Agriculture going towards 30 projects.
