UG student on Gaza flotilla won't accept degree due to Israeli IT ties

A University of Galway student, currently onboard an aid flotilla to Gaza, says she won't be accepting her PhD degree.

Louise McCormack is calling on other students to also make a stand against the University's research collaboration with Israeli IT Technion.

The final year PhD student is currently participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla, a civilian humanitarian mission challenging the blockade of Gaza.

Speaking in an Instagram video from the flotilla, Louise had this plea to other University of Galway students
