University Hospital Galway was the country's fifth most overcrowded hospital in May.
Across the country over 9 thousand 800 patients were treated on trolleys, chairs, or other inappropriate bed spaces according to the INMO.
University Hospital Limerick was the most overcrowded, with over 2 thousand patients on trolleys.
This was followed by Cork University Hospital with 806, St Vincent's in Dublin 783, Sligo University Hospital 782 and University Hospital Galway 769.
General Secretary of the Irish Nurses' and Midwives' Organisation, Phil Ní Sheaghdha says their members are worried about negative outcomes for patients.
