A protest will be held at UHG next week to mark the 1st anniversary of a city man who died by suicide after attending the emergency department.

After waiting for several hours at the Emergency Department without being seen last February, Adam Loughnane left.

A few hours later, his body was recovered from the River Corrib.

Adam's death has led to numerous demonstrations demanding total reform of mental health services in emergency departments.

A demonstration will take place outside UHG next Wednesday, February 11th, at 4pm.

Adam's brother Joe Loughnane told Galway Talks they won't be giving up until meaningful changes are in place.
