The University of Galway Students' Union is urging people to boycott the annual Alumni Awards Ball.
The plea from the SU is another step in the ongoing campaign which is calling for the end of the university's research collaboration with Israel IT Technion.
The issue has lead to several high profile people refusing or returning their honorary doctorates, with numerous protests also held.
The awards on May 23rd are a fundraising event, highlighting the achievements of the university's alumni, with tickets costing €150 each.
