Visiting hours extended at UHG and Merlin Park

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Visiting hours have been extended at UHG and Merlin Park Hospital.

Visiting times had been significantly curtailed since March in response to outbreaks of flu and COVID-19.

However, following a review, visitors will be able to access both hospitals between 2pm and 4pm, and again between 6pm and 8pm.

In a statement, the Saolta Hospital Group says there should be no more than one visitor at a patients bedside at any time and children may not visit unless agreed in advance.
