A Westside man has announced his intention to contest the upcoming Galway West by-election.
Michael Ryan has a law degree from University of Galway and is known on TikTok as 'Legal Eagle'.
This would be his first foray into politics.
Mr. Ryan would be the 14th candidate in the race to fill the seat left vacant by now President Catherine Connolly.

With polling day now expected to be Friday May 22nd, the window is closing for candidates to throw their hat in the ring.
