Works to begin shortly on upgrade of crucial city waste water pumping station

Works will begin shortly on the upgrade of a city waste water pumping station needed for thousands of new homes.

The green light was given for the development works at Merlin Park pumping station last year.

Galway West TD John Connolly has received confirmation from Uisce Éireann that works are expected to be completed by the end of summer 2027.

Fianna Fáil Deputy Connolly says it's a crucial piece of infrastructure that will bring many benefits to the area.
