City council officials have revealed the other projects which will be covered by a newly approved 60 million euro loan.
We learned yesterday that part of it will be used for the fit-out of the CIty Council's new but controversial HQ in Crown Square. (more info here)
The majority of Councillors last evening voted in favour of the loan, aside from Social Democrats Councillors Eibhlín Seoighthe and Alan Curran.
Other projects which will be funded include masterplans at Kingston, South Park and Renmore; and the redevelopment of Woodquay Park and Galway City Museum.
It'll also go toward pitches at Miller's Lane; a Multi Use Games Area in Renmore; pitch drainage and skate park in Doughiska; along with public lighting upgrades
Regarding the move to Crown Square from College Road, an assurance was given that the first staff are set to move in before the end of next year
