Funding has been announced for upgrades for two Galway playgrounds.
In the city, Ballinfoyle playground is to receive just over18,000 euro for inclusivity and accessibility improvements.
In the county, Tuam playground will receive just under 19,000 euro for renovation works.
The funding is part of half a million euro allocated for 28 playgrounds and play areas around the country by Minister for Children Norma Foley.

It provides support to city and county councils in upgrading existing facilities or developing new playgrounds.
