Gaelforce West will take place on Saturday 13 June 2026 with a milestone event marking 20 years of adventure racing in the west of Ireland. First held in 2006, Gaelforce West is recognised as Ireland’s original adventure race. The event includes a 68km triple-discipline route through Connemara and Mayo, finishing in Westport. To mark the 20-year anniversary, Gaelforce Events is also introducing Gaelforce Westport, a one-off 34km run and cycle sprint event. As the event takes place on public roads and along sections of the route, there may be temporary traffic delays on the day. Road users are asked to take care, follow event marshal guidance where present and allow extra time when travelling in affected areas.
