Galway Bay FM Live Broadcast from Eyre Square with the Electoral Commission

Galway Bay FM will broadcast live from Eyre Square in Galway city this Friday, May 1st, in partnership with the Electoral Commission, highlighting the importance of voter registration ahead of the upcoming by-elections.

The live outside broadcast will take place from the Tourist Information Point in Eyre Square from 12pm to 5pm, featuring The Live Wire with Ronan Lardner (12pm–3pm) followed by On The Move with Kayte O’Malley (3pm–5pm).

Throughout the broadcast, the Galway Bay FM team and the Electoral Commission will be encouraging members of the public to register to vote, check their details, and understand why voting matters. With by-elections scheduled for Friday, May 22nd in Galway West and Dublin Central, this is an important opportunity for eligible voters to ensure they are ready to have their say.

The voter registration deadline is Tuesday, May 5th, and registering or updating your details can be done online in just a few minutes at CheckTheRegister.ie.
