Gort Credit Union Celebrates 60 Years of Community Service – Join the Celebrations This Friday!
Friday, 11th July 2025 marks a major milestone for Gort Credit Union as it proudly celebrates 60 years of dedicated service to the local community.
Founded in 1965 by a small but passionate group of volunteers, Gort Credit Union has grown from its humble beginnings—operating out of a temporary office after Sunday Mass—to a modern financial institution located right in the heart of Gort on Bridge Street. Today, it serves over 8,000 active members within a 12-mile radius, managing €38 million in assets and offering a wide range of in-person and online financial services.
To mark this special occasion, Gort Credit Union is inviting the entire community to join in the celebrations. Ronan Lardner will broadcast The Live Wire 12 -3pm live for the best of music, memories, and fun as we celebrate six decades of community, trust, and financial support.
