Sophia Curran explores Youth Lates with Kate Howard and band Silk Road

This week, next Gen Galway is persented by former TY Media Week student Sophia Curran.

Sophia is joined by Galway City Council’s Kate Howard and band Silk Road who will be discussing positive impacts of popular music event Youth Lates, as well as the youth music scene around Galway. 

Kate Howard is a member of the Galway City Council working on their youth projects in order to create new events for the young people of Galway. On the podcast today she discusses the overwhelmingly positive reception that Youth Lates has received, as well as the importance of teenagers having their own public social spaces where they can feel safe as well as have fun.
