Registration opens for Young Environmentalist Awards

Young people in Galway are invited to join the Young Environmentalist Awards as registration is now open

The YEA celebrates and supports youth-led projects that address some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time.

The YEA is open to groups of young people across the island of Ireland in super junior, junior and senior categories.

The awards invite participants to design and deliver local environmental action projects.

young people from Coláiste Mhuire, Ballygar, Co Galway, winners in the Senior Climate Change category of the 2024/25 Young Environmentalist Awards for developing a ‘CarbonCut’ app, which provides concise, actionable tips to educate users on their carbon footprint and how small choices can make a meaningful difference.
