The LGFA and AIB are thrilled to announce the AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Championship Team of the Year, following a captivating season that showcased exceptional individual and team performances.
In 2025, AIB celebrated its second year as title sponsor of the Ladies Gaelic Football Club Championships, firmly highlighting its unwavering support for both the club players and the communities that nurture them, enabling their remarkable achievements on the pitch. The players will be honoured at the AIB Club Player Awards, marking the second time that the four codes of – Ladies Football, Camogie, Hurling, and Football – are celebrated together.
The AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Player of the Year award winner will also be revealed at the ceremony on Friday, March 13th in Croke Park.
Champions Kilkerrin-Clonberne lead the way with ten representatives on the 2025 AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Championship Team of the Year.
The Galway outfit stormed to a fifth successive AIB All-Ireland Senior club championship title last December – with victory secured against Antrim opponents St Ergnats, Moneyglass, at Croke Park.
St Ergnats made history in 2025 by claiming a very first AIB Ulster Senior club title, before advancing to a maiden national decider.
Their exploits have been acknowledged with the other five places on the 2025 AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Championship Team of the Year – as Kilkerrin-Clonberne better last year’s haul by two.
Kilkerrin-Clonberne also have two nominees for the prestigious Player of the Year award – Nicola Ward and Siobhán Divilly, who was Player of the Match in the All-Ireland Final.
The third nominee is Cathy Carey from St Ergnats, Moneyglass, the former Antrim captain who enjoyed a stellar season at club level.
There are three sets of sisters on the AIB Team of the Year, with the Wards and Divillys from Kilkerrin-Clonberne joined by the O’Neills (Sarah and Maria) from St Ergnats on the annual selection.
Nicola and Louise Ward are long-standing stars for club and county – and Louise was named as the inaugural AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Player of the Year twelve months ago.
Three Divilly sisters are also named on the Team of the Year, namely Niamh, Siobhán and Olivia.
In total, Kilkerrin-Clonberne have six players named for a second successive season on the Team of the Year – Sarah Gormally, Niamh Divilly, Nicola Ward, Louise Ward, Olivia Divilly and Eva Noone.
AIB has also established the first-ever 'Moments of the Championship' award this year, recognising unforgettable instances across the LGFA, Camogie, and GAA Club Championships, which will be presented at the ceremony.
The nominees for this new award are: Muckalee LGFA, who remarkably triumphed against the odds to win the AIB LGFA Leinster Junior Championship, before going on to land the AIB All-Ireland Junior title; Katie Rogers of Knockbride LGFA, whose inspiring personal goal 'To Play in Croke Park' from her list of things to do before turning 30 became a reality; and Ballymacelligot GAA, who demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship by forming a guard of honour for their West Kerry neighbours, An Ghaeltacht, as they ran onto Croke Park ahead of the AIB GAA All-Ireland Intermediate Final.
Commenting on the AIB Team of the Year, and the nominees for Club Player of the Year, LGFA President, Trina Murray, said: “I wish to congratulate every player named on the 2025 AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Championship Team of the Year, along with the three Club Player of the Year nominees.
“To have ten representatives from Kilkerrin-Clonberne on the Team of the Year reflects the exceptional standards set by champions, who continue to raise the bar, while the five selections from St Ergnats, Moneyglass, underline the quality, determination and spirit shown by worthy runners-up throughout a memorable campaign.
“Individual honours such as these are richly deserved, but they are also a testament to the teammates, coaches, families and volunteers who support players at club level across the country.
“I would also like to sincerely thank our valued competition sponsors, AIB, for their commitment to Ladies Gaelic Football. Their partnership plays a crucial role in showcasing our athletes, enhancing the profile of our competitions and helping us inspire the next generation to participate and excel in our sport.”

AIB Chief Customer Officer, Orlaith Ryan said: “I am delighted to celebrate the outstanding talent shown across this year’s AIB LGFA Club Championships. This season delivered excitement, skill and total commitment from every player. Clubs like Kilkerrin-Clonberne and St Ergnats, Moneyglass, showed what is possible when teams believe and give everything. Along with many other clubs, they helped make this championship truly special.
"Their journeys highlight the vital role clubs play in their communities and the strong support behind every success. Congratulations to all players named on the Team of the Year.
