Defending All-Ireland Champions Galway begins the defence of their title on Saturday in Kenny Park when they take on Cork, the side they beat in the All-Ireland Final last August.
It has been a decent year so far for Cathal Murray's side.
Despite a disappointing start to the league where they they lost their opening two games to Kilkenny and Waterford, Galway went on to the Division 1A League Final where they beat Waterford by 0-13 to 0-11 in Nowlan Park.
Now, after a gap of nearly eight weeks, Galway start their All-Ireland title defence.
Manager Cathal Murray spoke to Tommy Devane ahead of Saturday's game and he was glad to be back in action after such a long wait.
