Some of the world’s leading Para badminton players will arrive in Dublin this week as the British & Irish Para Badminton International 2026 takes place at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena from Wednesday, 24 June to Sunday, 28 June.
The tournament is a BWF Para Badminton International Level 1 event on the BWF Para Badminton World Circuit, bringing a world class field to Ireland for five days of international competition.
The entry list features top-ranked players, Paralympic champions and at least 29 Paralympic medallists from the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, underlining the quality of the competition set to take place in Dublin.
Irish interest is also set to feature, with Dean McCarthy listed in the Men’s Singles WH1 main draw and Neil Joisce listed in the Men’s Singles SL4 main draw, while Chris Stewart and Michael Smith are among the Irish names included in the wider entry list.
Hosted at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena, the event marks the second time the tournament has been staged in Ireland, following its success in 2022. The competition is supported by the 4 Nations partnership of Badminton Ireland, Badminton England, Badminton Scotland and Badminton Wales.
Supporters will have the opportunity to watch elite Para badminton on home soil, with free entry available from Wednesday, 24 to Friday, 26 June. General admission tickets for Saturday, 27 June and Sunday, 28 June are priced at €5, with under-14s admitted free throughout the event.

Matches will be livestreamed throughout the week on BWF TV and the Badminton Ireland YouTube channel, allowing supporters in Ireland and around the world to follow the action.
The finals will take place on Sunday, 28 June, followed by the medal ceremony.
