Galway suffered All-Ireland U20 Hurling Final defeat at the hands of Clare at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Sunday (31st May 2026).
Goals from Thomas O'Connor and wing back Jamie Moylan had the Banner 2-8 to 0-9 ahead at the break.Clare continued their domincance shortly after the break, another goal from O'Connor and one from Marco Cleary pushed the lead out to 4-9 to 0-10.
The Tribesmen would have a purple patch, as Brian Callanan raised a green flag with 11 to play, but the closest Galway would get was within nine. Jason Rabbitte grabbed a consolation in injury time but Clare would run out deserving winners by ten points.
