Connacht/Ulster Squad Named For International Friendly

The Republic Of Ireland Regions Cup Squad has been named to face Northern Ireland in a friendly that will be played in Lecarrow on Wednesday the 25th of September in a game that will mark the official opening of the John Sherlock Stand at the ground. The squad features four players from either the Galway League or the Roscommon and District League.

The four are Andrew Connolly from Mervue United, Michael Heneghan from Glen Celtic, Jack Higgins from Castlerea Celtic and Mick Corrigan from Boyle Celtic.

Another Mervue player, Gary Bailey and Danny Browne from Ballaghaderren are named on the stand by list.
