Galway were beaten by Mayo in their final group game of the Connacht U20 Championships in McHale Park on Wednesday night.
Kobe McDonald's first half masterclass saw the Crossmolina wonder score 2-2 of his side's first half total of 2-10 with Galway only scoring 0-4.
The second half saw Galway with the wind but a third goal from Dylan Flynn saw Mayo retake control and they won by 3-16 to 1-12 with Mikey Mulryan scoring the Galway goal.
