The LGFA Junior A and Junior B Football Finals took place this weekend. In the Junior A Final, Menlough-Skehana took on Monivea-Abbey in Tuam Stadium on Saturday. Menlough-Skehana led by four at halftime but Monivea-Abbey didn't make it easy for them, bagging a goal immediately after the break. Also in Tuam Stadium on Saturday was the LGFA Junior B Final between Salthill Knocknacarra and Kilkerrin-Clonberne. The Seasiders led 3-5 to 1-5 at halftime in Tuam. Kilkerrin-Clonberne closed the gap to two late on and were pushing for a winner, but it never came as the Salthill-Knocknacarra defence stood strong and ran out winners on a scoreline of 3-8 to 2-9.
