Galway U20 hurlers bow out of championship

The Galway U20 hurlers were beaten by Kilkenny last night in the Leinster semi-final by 1-19 to 1-15 in Tullamore. DJ Carey’s side led by four points at the break and all but put the issue to bed in the 43rd minute when Eoin Cody netted for the Cats as they went on to open up an eight-point margin. Sean Neary did score a late goal for Galway but it proved only a consolation in the end as Kilkenny march on to play Wexford in the final.
