Galway United have this evening announced the signing of Al-Amin Kazeem.
The 23-year-old left back left United in the summer of 2024 to join St. Patrick's Athletic, but he has now re-joined John Caulfield's charges ahead of the 2026 season.
The English defender began his career at Colchester, spent time on loan at Malton & Tiptree before returning to Colchester. Ahead of the 2024 season, he agreed a loan deal with Galway, playing 20 times ahead of a permanent move to St. Patrick's Athletic. Kazeem made 21 appearances for the Saints, scoring one goal, a famous last-minute winner against Shelbourne at Tolka Park in September 2024.
Speaking about his return to Eamonn Deacy Park, Kazeem said, 'It’s good to be back. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs, but at the end of the day, sometimes things always end up in a cyclical manner. I’m back, and I’m delighted to be back.”
Speaking about his previous spell with United, the Englishman said, "It was great, the fans really welcomed me. I was in a great place, enjoying my football. It was a great time. Hopefully, I can re-create or do better than last time."
United will return to Premier Division action in a month's time, when they host Drogheda United at Eamonn Deacy Park on February 6th.
