This Friday night will see history made with Galway United taking on Derry City at Pearse Stadium with the game kicking off at 7.45pm.
It will be the first time ever that United will have played at the Stadium. It is also the eighth venue used for a Galway United home game.
The stats shows that United have used Terryland Park, Now Eamon Deacy Park 859 times, Crowley Park 17 times, The Sportsgrounds, now Dexcom Stadium, 8 times and Carraroe, Ballinderreen Harold’s Cross in Dublin and Turners Cross in Cork once each.
It will also be the third inter county GAA Venue that United will have played in after Celtic Park in Derry and Flower Lodge in Cork which is now Pairc Ui Rinn.
