Kate Dillon Enters Bridgestone Order Of Merit Following East Of Ireland Win

Kate Dillion has entered the Bridgestone Order Of Merit at 14 following her dramatic win in the East of Ireland Women’s Amateur Championship on Sunday.

The Oughterard golfer beat Roscommon’s Olivia Costello in the second playoff hole to win the championship and picked up 325 Order of Merit points for her win.

There is also good news for Aoife Kelly of Galway Bay who has moved up the rankings from 9th to 7th after the weekend.

Overall, Olivia Costello leads the Order of Merit with Aideen Walsh of Lahinch second and Ella Cantwell of Esker Hills 3rd. Shannon Burke of Ballinrobe who finished third on Sunday, rounds up the top four.

In the Men’s Order of Merit, Athenry’s David Kitt is the top Galway golfer in 17th with Luke Cunningham of Galway Bay in 54th.
