Galway United vs Peamount United (Women's All-Island Cup Preview with Lucy-Jayne Grant)

Following their 1-1 Premier Division draw with Waterford, Galway United turn their attention to the Women's All-Island Cup semi-final this Saturday (27th June 2026) when they host Dublin's Peamount United.

It's their third meeting this season with United beginning this competition with a 4-0 victory against Peamount in April.  But it was a much tougher assignment in the league in May when Phil Trill's charges had to come from behind to secure a 2-1 victory.

Full-back Lucy-Jayne Grant has been a consistent presence at full back for Galway United, having made nearly 60 appearances.  The Cavan native joined Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly to chat about her career so far and look forward to their semi-final, but first they looked back on the draw against Waterford.
