John O'Shea And Julie-Ann Russell Launch MiWadi FAI Football Camps As Bookings Go Live

Bookings are now open for Ireland’s largest summer football programme as the 2026 MiWadi FAI Football Camps are set to return from June 29th through to August 21st.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to book early at bookings.faifootballcamps.ie before camps fill up.

Open to all children between the ages of 6 and 14 years of age, the five-day camps will be hosted by local grassroots clubs around the country with the focus on having fun, making friends and learning new skills. Children do not have to be part of a club or playing regular to participate in the camps.

Now in its 30th year, the hugely popular camps catered for over 35,500 children last summer across more than 340 locations nationwide. With bookings now open, parents and guardians can choose to enrol their child on any one of four different camps:

Former Ireland internationals John O’Shea and Julie-Ann Russell helped to launch this year’s camps. The camps are exclusive to FAI Club Mark clubs and promise to be just as action-packed and fun-filled with special tips and fun activities provided by Garda-vetted coaches.

This summer marks the second consecutive year that MiWadi, Ireland’s leading squash brand, is proudly supporting the FAI Football Camps. MiWadi’s involvement ensures that every child attending the camps nationwide will take home an exclusive MiWadi FAI Football Camps jersey and a football, adding an extra splash of fun and excitement to the overall experience.

MiWadi FAI Football Camp Ambassador and Ireland Men’s National Team Assistant Coach John O’Shea said: “My own memories of football camps growing up is that they’re a huge part of the summer holidays and they’re great memories to have. It’s a brilliant opportunity for youngsters to create bonds, work as a team and develop skills. They’ll learn new ideas from the coaches and they can take that back to playing with their friends or with their club.”

MiWadi FAI Football Camp Ambassador and former Ireland Women’s National Team Player of The Year Julie-Ann Russell said: “FAI Football Camps is a subject close to my heart. I’ve a daughter myself and when she gets a little bit older the camps are the perfect environment for her to be learning to play football. I think it’s important for children to experience these summer camps. The FAI always have good coaches and it's a good opportunity to have a positive learning environment, to make new friends and to learn new skills.”
