Galway Races is proud to celebrate 10 years of partnership with Kenny Galway, as the Tuam Road dealership continues its valued sponsorship of the Sunday National Hunt
programme at Ballybrit.
A longstanding supporter of the festival, Kenny Galway sponsors a competitive 3-mile National Hunt contest with a prize fund of €17,500, forming an important part of the
Sunday card during Race Week.
As Race Week 2026 approaches, this milestone provides an opportunity to recognise a partnership rooted in local connection and shared pride in the Galway community.
Located just minutes from Ballybrit Racecourse, Kenny Galway’s Peugeot dealership on the Tuam Road has long been a familiar landmark for racegoers making their way to the track.
Michael Moloney, CEO of Galway Races, welcomed the occasion: “Kenny Galway is only a stone’s throw from the racecourse, and it means a lot to have our neighbours as sponsors. Their support over the past decade has been hugely important to the festival, and it’s partnerships like this that reflect what the Galway Races are all about.”
Over the past ten years, Kenny Galway has grown alongside the festival, continuing to invest in its Tuam Road operation while expanding its offering with the addition of Leap
Motors, marking an exciting new chapter for the business.
Brian Kenny, Owner of Kenny Galway, reflected on the anniversary: “It doesn’t feel like ten years at all. We’ve loved sponsoring the Galway Races, especially on the Sunday, and being part of such a brilliant week in Galway each year. The business continues to grow, and with the addition of Leap Motors, it’s an exciting time for us and our customers.”
Racegoers are also encouraged to keep an eye on Kenny Galway’s social channels in the lead-up to Race Week, where a special competition will give one lucky winner the chance to be chauffeur-driven to the races on Sunday, 2 August, in the latest Leap Motor model.
With the countdown to Race Week 2026 firmly underway, Galway Races looks forward to marking this 10-year milestone and welcoming Kenny Galway back for another memorable Sunday at Ballybrit.
