Galway were defeated by Kilkenny in the first round of the National Camogie League Division 1A at Duggan Park on Saturday afternoon. Galway started rapidly, with Carrie Dolan's goal coming after only 15 seconds, but the hosts still trailed 1-6 to 1-2 at the break. Despite a strong second-half performance, the Tribeswomen couldn't manage to catch the Cats as they ran out winners by the narrowest of margins.
Galway are next in action on Saturday, February 28th at 2 pm against Waterford at a Galway venue. Kilkenny will host Tipperary next Saturday.
