The Galway GAA Senior B Hurling Championship Final between Liam Mellows and Ahascragh-Fohenagh took place in Kenny Park, Athenry on Sunday afternoon.
At half time in Athenry there was nothing between the sides as they were tied 0-9 a piece. But five minutes into the second half Mellows full forward Conor Kavanagh sent a rocket to the back of the Ahascragh-Fohenagh net to land a crucial blow and put his side on the front foot.
