The Forvis Mazars Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals took place on Saturday evening at Pearse Stadium.
First up was the meeting of St Thomas and Craughwell. Craughwell battled hard, only trailing by 1-10 to 0-9 at half time. But St Thomas flexed their muscles in the second half and fired in three more goals to book their place in the final and end Craughwell's season. In the second semi-final, Turloughmore took on Loughrea in a titanic battle. Loughrea lead by five at half time and the game was in the melting pot right up until the end, with Loughrea only leading by two points in stoppage time, but a late goal by Craughwell ensured they qualified for the County final on a scoreline of 1-17 to 0-15. Loughrea will now clash with St Thomas in the Senior Hurling Final on Saturday November 1st at 6 pm at Pearse Stadium.
