Concern is growing over William Saliba's World Cup after he picked up an injury in Arsenal's Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
The defender played every minute of the match as Arsenal lost on penalties to PSG on Saturday at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.
It's reported that the 25-year-old was already carrying a minor injury before the final, but aggravated the problem during the defeat. He underwent tests yesterday which will determine the extent of the issue and any potential period on the sidelines.
Saliba, who has played 31 times for his country, is expected to be a key part of the French squad as they attempt to win another World Cup title.
France begin their campaign against Senegal on June 16th. Les Bleus then face Iraq on June 22nd before taking on Norway on June 26th.
Speaking after Arsenal's Premier League title triumph, Saliba said: “Now we are champions. Last season we finished second but even when we finished second, we had the good mentality the season after to keep going and it finally paid off.
“We didn’t give up, we deserve that title, and we will come back again next season to try and win as well.
“It is my first one, so I am happy. But I am not full. I want more.”
