Parents and schools call for increased pedestrian crossings in Connemara

There's a desperate need for more pedestrian crossings near schools in areas of Connemara.

That's the call from parents and staff in schools along the R336 in particular.

Councillor Tomás Ó Curraoin has received a letter from Scoil na Forbacha pleading for road safety measures on the route near their school.

The Independent councillor says funding should be made available for such important measures.
