10 Blue Flag and 8 Green Coast Awards have been announced for Galway beaches this year.
Salthill and Silverstrand, as well as An Trá Inis Oírr, were among just 12 beaches nationwide to achieve both accolades.
The Blue Flag is one of the world's most recognised environmental awards.
And the Green Coast Award recognises beaches for their clean environment, excellent water quality and natural beauty.
This year's Blue Flag beaches in Galway are:
Salthill Beach, Silverstrand Beach, An Trá Mór Indreabhán, Bathing Place at Portumna, Céibh an Spidéal, Cill Mhuirbhigh Inis Mór, Loughrea Lake, Trá an Doilin An Ceathrú Rua, Trá Inis Oírr and Traught Kinvara.
Meanwhile, the Green Coast was awarded to:
Salthill, Silverstrand, Silver Hill/Aillebrack, Dumhach Beach, East End Bay Inishbofin, Renvyle Beach, An Trá Inis Oírr and Poll na gCaorach Inis Oírr.
