A petition calling for the return of speech and language therapy services to Léitir Mór has gathered almost a thousand signatures.
The organisers are asking the HSE to transfer the service for primary school children back from Tulla Health Centre to Lettermore Health Centre.
They say children and families have to travel an extra 34km, resulting in them being taken out of school for around two hours each time.
The online petition has gathered 977 signatures in support of bringing the service back into the local community
