Twelve Galway schools are set to take part in ESB's "Weather Watch Programme".

The programme - which aims to link weather patterns to renewable energy generation - is an educational initiative for junior cycle and transition year geography students.

The schools taking part in Galway include Presentation College, Gort Community School , Coláiste an Chreagáin, Colaiste Cholmcille, Calasanctius College, Clarin College, Coláiste Éinde, Coláiste Iognáid, Coláiste na Coiribe, Presentation College Athenry, St. Joseph's College Galway (The Bish), Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiaráin.
