349 free counselling sessions were delivered to cancer patients in Tuam and North Galway in 2025.
The sessions are provided by Tuam Cancer care, using €16,000 in funds provided by the Irish Cancer Society at the beginning of last year.
Cancer patients, survivors and family members can all avail of the counselling, as well as information and support provided by Tuam Cancer Care.
Mary Quinn, Head of Services Operations at the Irish Cancer Society, says the sessions create a safe space for patients.
