Over 350 public submissions were made to Galway County Council on an active travel scheme in Headford.
The scheme covers Church Road and the access road to Presentation College.
Public consultation was first opened on December 11th, and closed at midday today after the scheme was extended for an extra week.
The projects involve pedestrian safety works, like improved crossings, footpaths and road markings.
Local Councillor Andrew Reddington says the County Council will immediately start assessing the submissions, and prepare a plan.
Local Fianna Fail Councillor Mary Hoade says the extension of time for the public consultation was extremely important.
