Galway Bay fm newsroom - 43 hit and run incidents were recorded in Galway last year.
That's according to figures compiled by the Motor Insurers Bureau of Ireland.
The data shows 31 hit and run incidents were recorded in Galway in 2016, and 28 in 2015.
