Almost 2 thousand homes were under construction in Galway, as of last month.
That's according to the latest Geo Directory Residential Buildings Report, which shows the number of homes under construction nationwide has topped 30 thousand for the first time.
Despite the increase in building, house prices continue to rise, with the national average now standing at almost 438 thousand euro.
