Anger as another city pitch targeted by vandals

There's frustration and anger as another pitch in the city has been damaged by vandals.

This time, the pitch at Pat Manogue Park in Newcastle, home of Corrib Rangers FC, was badly damaged after being torn up by youths on e-scooters.

The pitch was only officially opened last year, after 15 years of campaigning and hard work.

Speaking to Galway Talks, club chairperson Ollie Rafferty said it's an absolute disgrace.

But he said it's not surprising because there's no perimiter fence, and this is something they've previously raised with Galway City Council.
