Aran Islands RNLI have rescued three fishermen after their vessel got into difficulty southwest of Spiddal in Galway Bay.
Volunteers were requested to launch their all-weather lifeboat at 1.05pm yesterday to assess the situation.
A trawler had got a net caught in its propellor, causing it to lose power, and the RNLI lifeboat arrived on scene an hour later.
The fishermen were safe and well, but the vessel was drifting into the main channel - and the crew arrived to the nearest safe harbour of Rossaveel at 5:20pm yesterday.
