Local initiative Creative Places Tuam has secured funding from the Arts Council for this year and next year.
It supports artists, funds community projects and promotes cultural activity in Tuam and surrounding areas.

In recent years, it has delivered artist residencies and public events, along with helping produce original music and short films.

The Arts Council Local Leadership Award will allow a new phase of the community-led arts programme, allowing it to be fully locally based from 2027.
