Average voted turnout between 3-5 percent for Galway West by-election

Turnout in the Galway West by-election is being reported as slow in many parts of the city and county.

It's between three and five percent across all polling centres since voting began at 7 this morning.

Turnout is at three percent in Clifden, Spiddal, Salthill, Renmore, Carraroe, Doughiska, Bushypark, Ballybane and Tirellen.

It's at four percent in Oranmore, Knocknacarra and Claregalway, while there's a five percent voter turnout in Moycullen, Westside and the Aran Islands.

The polls are open until 10 tonight

Clifden - 54 (3%)

Spiddal - 77 (3%)

Moyculle - 189 (5%)

Knocknacarra (City West) - 394 (4%)

Salthill (St Endas West) - 120 (3%)

Renmore (City East) 162 (3%)
