Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Barna to Moycullen road has reopened after it was closed earlier due to a gorse fire which reignited in the Truskey West area.
Three units of the fire brigade have now left the scene after bringing the blaze under control.
Fire crews have been monitoring the scene since yesterday afternoon with large smoke volumes still affecting nearby residential areas.
It's understood rainfall assisted emergency efforts.
