There's been almost 450 insolvencies nationwide so far this year - including three dozen in Galway.
That's according to the latest Insolvency Barometer from PwC.
Dublin accounts for almost half at 219, following by Cork with 47, and Galway with 36.
In terms of trends, retail insolvencies are up by a third compared to the first half of last year - but hospitality insolvencies are down by a quarter.

Overall, the number of insolvencies so far this year is broadly in line with the figure recorded for 2025.
