An Coimisiún Pleanála has upheld the refusal of planning permission for a mixed development in Loughrea town.
Leanne O'Rourke had planned for 2 offices and a cafe at Athenry Road, with 3 duplex apartments overhead.
The site is located to the rear of The Maltings housing estate and the Loughrea Shopping Centre.
There were a number of local submissions against the plans, and county planners refused permission on grounds including overdevelopment and traffic hazards.

An Coimisiún Pleanála has now also refused permission, holding it would take away from the visual and residential amenity of the area.
