Housing charity Threshold supported almost 2,100 households across Galway last year.
That's according to its annual report for 2025, which shows nationwide, almost 20 thousand households sought their services.
In Galway, 2,092 households were supported, consisting of 2,553 adults, and 1,652 children.
362 of those Galway households were prevented from entering homelessness, which breaks down to 479 adults and 432 children.

Tenancy termination remains the most common reason people seek help from Threshold, accounting for more than one-third of new cases.
