There's a call for year-round testing at Galway's popular swimming spots.
Galway West TD John Connolly says under the current rules, local authorities only routinely test water quality during the bathing season.
But he's highlighting the growing popularity of sea swimming, and increasing numbers of people swimming all year-round.
Fianna Fail Deputy Connolly says Dublin City Council carries out testing all year round - and Galway should be doing the same.

He's now raised the matter in the Dáil.
